A smaller boutique hotel a few streets from Bến Thành Market. The interiors are by Vietnamese designer Hương Hoài Nguyễn — hand-carved wooden lotus leaves in the lobby, cedar in the air — with a rooftop restaurant for breakfast and evening drinks, and afternoon tea included. Better value, and roughly a ten-minute walk or 5 minutes by grab to the New World for the shuttle.
New World Saigon Hotel under the Rosewood Hotel Group is a large international five-star on Lê Lai, directly opposite Saigon's famous Bến Thành Market and about thirty minutes from the airport.
It is also where the shuttle departs on the 19th — choosing this hotel means coming down to your own lobby at 1:45pm.
